mTrac Dashboard Overview

Through the mTrac dashboard website, District Health Teams are able to review, verify and approve the data submitted by their health workers every week. They can identify erroneous data, contact the reporting health worker, correct the data, view the facilities that are failing to report and follow-up. Communication is made simple by the use of a simple interface to send free SMS messages to their health workers.

Broadcast on June 11, 2012 on NTV, the episode features Hope Achiro, Deputy Director of the Medicines and Health Services Delivery Monitoring Unit (MHSDMU) who answers queries, provides advice and lets the people know what they government is doing to try and protect them. The mTrac initiative has greatly strengthened the Ministry of Health's capability for monitoring health services delivery in Uganda. It is also in line with UNICEF's global strategy for monitoring. In this video produced for UNICEF, mTrac is used as an example to illustrate this new global strategy.
