UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, is the driving force that helps build a world where the rights of every child are realized.  Uganda is one of the over 190 countries and territories around the world where we work to overcome the obstacles that poverty, violence, disease, and discrimination place in a child’s path.

With the global authority to influence decision-makers, and the variety of partners at the grassroots level to turn the most innovative ideas into reality, UNICEF is unique among world organizations, and unique among those working with the young.
Together with the Government of Uganda and partners we work towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals, the objectives of the Uganda National Development Plan, and the planned outcomes of the United Nations Development Assistance Framework.
UNICEF is funded entirely by the voluntary contributions of individuals, businesses, foundations and governments.
